Sentinel runs as an AI gateway on your Mac. It checks supported requests locally before they reach the AI tool, and only check metadata reaches SUPERWISE.
Claude Desktop is supported through the CLI with the Anthropic provider and a one-time browser sign-in.

Sentinel for Mac questions
Yes. The Sentinel CLI works on a Mac today and covers Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex CLI, Antigravity (agy), and your own apps and agents. Claude Desktop through the CLI requires the Anthropic provider and a one-time browser sign-in. Codex CLI and Antigravity are supported when the tool uses an API key. Signing in with a ChatGPT or Google account is not covered yet.
Run pip install superwise-sentinel-cli, then run sentinel quickstart. Configure your apps with sentinel proxy config apps and turn protection on with sentinel proxy on. To inspect the gateway, run sentinel gateway status and sentinel gateway logs. The CLI needs Python 3.11 or later.
Docker Desktop is needed only when you run a gateway on the machine itself with the CLI. The install steps do not need it.
Sentinel checks supported requests on your Mac before they reach the AI tool. Prompts go straight to the AI provider. SUPERWISE receives only check metadata: counts, which rule fired, and latency.
Sentinel catches sensitive values such as email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, and API keys before a prompt leaves. The admin chooses whether Sentinel redacts or blocks, and sets the replacement text.
